Since starting Castlewood Kitchens in 1984, Colleen and Mario wanted to build a business which carry through their family morals with a team that care about the business as if their own.
We are very proud to have committed staff including Paul for 36 years who started as an apprentice and Phil for 34 years, as well as Steve our wood machinist for 28 years.
The relationships our loyal staff have fostered with builders and clients have brought Castlewood to where it is today, through our hard-working morale and hours each day to produce quality kitchens and joinery for beautiful Australian homes.

Castlewood Kitchens is a family company, established in 1984 and owned by Mario and Colleen Abela. With 30+ years in business, we now have grown to include the second generation and employ over 36 staff, carrying the family legacy into the future. We take great joy and pride in providing creative and innovative joinery and cabinetry solutions, from the concept idea right through to finished product.

Castlewood Kitchens installed our cabinetry (including built-in TV media cabinet and kitchen cabinetry) as part of our Metricon Signature new build in late 2018. After the initial installation, we appreciated Castlewood sending Charlie to make a few adjustments to our built-ins. Recently April 2022 (over 3yrs later) we inquired via our interior designer (Kitchen Culture) about ordering some replacement hinges for our TV media cabinet given they had come loose. Castlewood Kitchens volunteered to send Charlie to address the issues we raised. Very helpful and great after sales service!!!
